The provisional overall results after 8 races are now posted at www.fdworlds2012.org. After two discards the positions are subject to claims for redress and protests as follows 1st HUN 70 12pts, 2nd GER 88 16pts, 3rd NED 26 17pts, 4th ITA 4 28pts, 5th GER 19 39pts, 6th NZL 111 45pts.

Congratulations to Szabolcs Majthenyi & Andras Domokos who are the provisional winners of the FD World Championship 2012 with a race in hand having won three races.
The provisional finishing positions for race 8 are..1st NED 26, 2nd HUN 70, 3rd GER 88, 4th GER 113, 5th GER 100, 6th NZL 111 The fog has now lifted ..the sun is shining! boats have returned to the harbour…overall results will be available soon. The final race is scheduled to start on Sunday at 1200hrs.
The fleet is on the final beat to the finish of race 8. Waves and wind resulting in capsizes, boats trawling spinnakers at leeward mark.conditions remain foggy.. first 6 at leeward mark 2nd lap were 1st NED 26, 2nd HUN 70, 3rd GER 88, 4th GER 113, 5th GER 199, 6th GER 100..

After a General Recall, the black flag was used and the fleet got clean away in 10 to 12 knots of wind. The fleet is well spread out across the course. The local boats went hard right.
