SOLD Price reduced to $4,200 or best offer! https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/boa/d/20ft-flying-dutchman-racing/6470796266.html. Flying Dutchman (FD), 1974 The FD was the Olympic double handed dinghy for over 3 decades. US1359 is a 1974 Hein 1-1/2 bottom cold molded FD which was originally built for Dennis Surtees. It sailed in the ’76 Montreal Olympics as the US team boat with Freeman/Mathias aboard where they placed 6th. In the right wind conditions it will plane upwind. See videos on youtube. Due to it’s almost 20ft length it is roomy as well, and good for larger sailors. Sail with two with main and jib or singlehanded with just the main. Trailer and boat are under 1000lbs and should be able to be towed by most small vehicles. I towed this boat with a Honda Civic and had no issues. This boat was fully restored in 2008. New deck and under structure, (mostly) new hardware, 2 part poly on hull and custom built trailer. Still beautiful, but some scratches from use. 2 masts (SuperSpar and Needlespar) and a spare boom. 1 like new North Sail jib and 2 sets of older sails (Jib, Main and Spinnaker). Generally updated to mid ’90’s technology. Needs only a spinnaker sock, all launching hardware (Spiro, etc.) is present and functional. Two trapeze harnesses included (Gill and Ronstan) in like new condition. Henri Loyd and Ronstan spray tops included in very good condition. Shorty wetsuit in good condition included. A classic wood hot rod with lots of fun left in it.  Note pictures show boat with 2013 registration. I will get updated stickers from DMV this week and update pictures once installed.
